 ITCRA, ACS & AIIA
We are proud to have a close working relationship with our industry association ITCRA. As a key participant member of this organisation we are able to work with IT industry leaders and Government bodies in raising the standards in IT recruitment.
Our recruitment personnel undergo training and certification as part of the ITCRA Certified Recruitment Professional program, an effective part of a meaningful strategy for upholding ethical work practices in the IT contract and recruitment industry.
Director Penny Coulter, former president of ITCRA and active member of the Professional Development Committee was instrumental in the establishment of the ITCRA CRP Program. As Penny states on the ITCRA website:
"The program takes the commitment for ethical and professional behaviour to the coalface where recruitment consultants are representing their company as they interact with clients, candidates and competitors."
Our experience and involvement with this association benefits the longer-term future of our industry, and equally serves the interest of our clients and candidates by promoting best practice in the recruitment industry. Our pledge to abide by the ITCRA Code of Conduct is a further guarantee of our commitment to ethical business dealings.
Additionally director Penny Coulter plays an active role as a member of the Industry Leadership Group (Women in IT representative), working with the Australian Computer Society (ACS), the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), and Federal and State Government in addressing Australia’s ICT skill shortage, and encouraging more women and young people into the ICT sector.
Penny was the keynote speaker at the Females in Information Technology & Telecommunications (FITT) Breakfast held during CeBIT Australia 2007. She also presented on Careers in IT to the Young IT members of the ACS, and followed up by responding to many queries from graduates and undergraduates with information on the IT industry, skills in demand, and career development issues.
Penny also plays a key role in supporting the AIIA's National ICT Careers week, the inaugural event being held in July/August 2008, and more recently again in July/August 2009. |
